All three elementary schools continue to participate in Global Read Aloud (theglobalreadaloud.com), a literacy initiative to help connect readers all over the world. Two million students in over 80 countries are connecting together during the six week event.  All three elementary schools are sharing their thoughts and ideas on the books that are being read.  Currently, the schools are making a school wide bulletin board based on the book Whoever You Are by Mem Fox. Our school bulletin board will be shared with the other schools’ on the LMC district website. Please take a moment to remind students check out our LMC website  (go to rsd17.org, your school, then the link to the library is on the left) to see videos of mystery readers reading this year’s GRA books, listen to the audio recording of the chapter book Fenway and Hattie by Victoria J. Coe, Padlets to blog about the books, links to videos, activities, and more.
